A DAY IN TOKYO - PART 5 - BURST ANGEL

Alrighty, here it is! After a couple weeks of waiting, I've finally gotten off my ass (Technically, got back on it?) and watched the last Anime I had planned for a review. This was probably the worst of all five of the Anime, being a little bit worse than Lucky Star. Anyway, after this post, I'll make a small Top 5 list of the Anime I watched; 1 being the best one, and 5 being the lowest. I can already tell you that Burst Angel is going to be 5.

A DAY IN TOKYO - PART 4 - LUCKY STAR

Wow, reaching the end of this mini series already? My original plan is to do 5 articles of A Day in Tokyo, and this is the fourth one, meaning there's only one left after this one. Let's see: I've done a Drama/Lifestyle Anime, a Parody of an Action Anime, and a Horror/Suspense Anime. Sounds like I should do either a Comedy, a REAL Action Anime, or a "Girl's" Anime. Well, let's kill two of those bird with one stone and review Lucky Star, a quirky Anime series with an obvious female demographic. Still, it's a funny show, and I have to admit that even I found it tolerable!

A DAY IN TOKYO - PART 3 - HELL GIRL

Hell Girl is a very Higurashi-like Anime that follows a young girl, Ai Enma, who runs a website, called "Hell Correspondents". This website provides a service to the angry, revenge-hungry population of the world; with this website, you need only to log on at Midnight and type the name of someone you truly despise, and the Hell Girl will visit you, and offer you a chance to send your victim into the depths of Hell itself.

A DAY IN TOKYO - PART 2 - DESERT PUNK

Desert Punk is a cartoon that takes all the clichés in Anime history, and mocks them; that's right, there's no muscular hero, there's no daring relationship between protagonists, and best of all, there's no dramatic fight scene. If there was one way I would try to describe Desert Punk, I would describe it as a, "Fallout-New-Vegas-meets-Typical-Adult-Swim-meets-classic-Cartoon-Network" cartoon. Yeah, a wordy adjective, I know.

A DAY IN TOKYO - PART 1 - WITCHBLADE

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I have Netflix. I have free time. I love writing shit.
Anime reviews comin' at ya.

Witchblade, along with almost every other Anime series out there, is a Japanese show adapted from said popular Manga. It was animated by Gonzo Entertainment, and of course, localized in North America by Funimation. It aired in 2006, almost six years ago. And lemme tell ya: the quality of the visuals would lead you to believe its way newer. Witchblade is chalk-full of all the smooth black outlines and glorious art you could want.
